Guys this month we have made the top 200 Podcast charts not only for the first time but for second and third! Massive thank you to everyone who has listened! I want to thank Jubemi for coming on and being so open about how he sees things and his struggles and wish him all the luck that he clearly deserves on his upcoming projects that could and should catapult him to another level.
We also spoke about his challenges with his mental health and how so many peolpe are using their music as an outlet for dealing with their mental but also how the current climate in the Arts scene can be a reason for people struggling. We spoke about the Glasgow Rap scene as he found it moving up from Ayr to focus on his music and what it's like trying to break Glasgow and play live in a scene dominated by Indie music. We had an incredible conversation with Jubemi about how he ended up in Glasgow and becoming the Rap focal point in Glasgow during Lockdown with his amazing EP, Saint of Lost Causes. We also talked about Halina's heritage as a mixed race woman working within a white, male dominated industry traditionally and why its important she helps provide a platform for future creatives peolpe of colour to be able to break into the industry. We spoke about a lot and Halina was a great guest but we spoke about podcasting as Halina is an absolute trail blazer coming onto the scene as one of the first Podcasts in Scotland over a decade ago! We also spoke about mental health which Halina has been so open and honest about her own experiences and seems to be a huge inspiration for her work. This weeks guest we had the privilege of sitting down with one of Scotland's top Podcasters and Producers Halina Rifai of the incredible 'A Sonic Hug' podcast, which if you haven't already you should 100% go check out before the new series gets published.
